Steven D. Stern

Mr. Stern has a substantive background in journalism as a correspondent in both New York and Washington, covering the securities industry and elements of the Federal Government, including the Securities and Exchange Commission, White House, Congress and the Federal Reserve for Dow Jones and Company, Inc. (publisher of The Wall Street Journal and the Dow Jones News Service), Reuters Economic Service, The Daily Bond Buyer and American Banker, U.S. Oil Week, Securities Week and The Washington Star.

Additionally, he was Director of Public Relations for Gulf+Western Industries, Inc., reporting to the Chairman, Charles Bluhdorn; Director of Public Relations for Occidental Petroleum, reporting to the Chairman, Dr. Armand Hammer; and Director of Corporate Communications for Wickes Companies, Inc. Mr. Stern has also served as a speech writer for three U.S. Senators and the Chairman of the Federal Home Loan Bank Board; written two computer books published by Prentice-Hall; and served as a consultant to the U. S. Chamber of Commerce and IBM.

Alexander Auerbach
   
Mr. Auerbach is the founder and president of one of he leading marketing and corporate communications firms in Los Angeles, Alexander Auerbach & Company, with which Stern And Company has established a strategic relationship. A nationally recognized expert in marketing communications and corporate communications for professional services organizations, as well as media relations, Mr. Auerbach provides strategic counsel and campaign implementation services for clients of Stern and Company.

Previously, he held senior management positions at two Los Angeles-based magazine publishing companies, where he had direct responsibility for the editorial content and commercial success of more than a dozen business, special interest and leisure magazines.

Before moving to magazine management, Mr. Auerbach was one of California’s leading business and financial journalists. As a senior member of the Los Angeles Times financial news staff for more than a decade, he covered business and financial news and was syndicated by the Los Angeles Times-Washington Post wire service to more than 400 newspapers. He was a correspondent to The Economist of London, and wrote regularly about the American economy for the United States Information Agency's overseas education program.

Mr. Auerbach was the recipient of the John Hancock Award for Excellence in Financial Writing, and the Los Angeles Times Editorial Award. He holds a Masters in Business Administration from UCLA’s Anderson School.

Edward Kim

Mr. Kim manages Stern and Company's strategic financial communications and advisory functions. His diverse experience includes a dozen years in the equity capital markets, working as a technology investment banker, proprietary trader, institutional salesman and research analyst in New York, San Francisco, London and Tokyo. He has run new corporate product and service development for The NASDAQ Stock Market, and has served as chief administrative officer for a publicly held software company.

Mr. Kim's career encompasses 15 years of developing new businesses, educating investors and decision makers, and advising C-level executives and Board members on growth through capital transactions and acquisitions. He holds a B.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Robert Rettig

Mr. Rettig is a 23-year veteran of the Dow Jones organization, where he managed the daily operations of the Dow Jones News Service, following a tenure with United Press International. Mr. Rettig’s editorial skills are widely-acknowledged. He is Stern And Company’s principal media relations strategist and is responsible for major media relations campaigns, particularly on the East Coast.

Richard Gotcher
  
Mr. Gotcher has extensive media experience covering financial and economic issues, both domestically and abroad. Prior to joining Stern And Company, he edited the Eastern Europe Times, a daily financial newsletter aimed at those entities engaged in business in the emerging Eastern Europe democracies. Earlier he was a Washington reporter for the Dow Jones News Service, a correspondent for The Daily Bond Buyer and Washington Bureau Chief for the Donrey Media Group, a chain of 40 newspapers and several radio and television stations.
